Got totally spoiled by Lino's parents

Lino's parents came to visit:
We had supper at home friday evening because it was poouuring outside

And a buffet breakfast too!
Made shakshuka for us :)
Nice to have something new for breakfast, not only always müsli ;)

Then we showed them the Turmberg, have the whole view of Karlsruhe

Us posing on the top:

And we sat in the beergarden with the view:

We also wanted to show them the castle but we were't allowed in because there was "maintenence". Turns out it was Scholz who came to visit Karlsruhe, but they coudln't tell us that

And another beergarden in the evening :)

Next day we did go to the castle and were let in
This is the "Schlossgarten"

And you can see the train from the top of the castle - the train goes through the whole park on the weekends
It is a real "Dampflock", makes smoke and noise and all

And I found my rightful place on the throne

Showing my power

And I forgot to take my sunglasses to the top so here we are sort of grimacing into the camera

We did have a nice view though

Turns out these stones are "sunbeams" that go through the city and point at the castle
Always learn these things when we have guests over

And then we got some ice cream :)

There is no flattering way to eat ice cream

This is a close up of the train, its fired with wood

And then we went to the "Naturkundemuseum"

Had a lot of different animals, some stuffed, some living, some models. I thought it was quite impressive.

And then another beergarden ;)
We also did an escape room, which we solved in 35 minutes!

And then had vietnamese for supper :)

With algae on the side (Lino did not touch it, I have to say it is quite slimey)

Last day (monday)
We showed them the forest with the animals

I also had a small bike ride :) My back is feeling much better

And then we went to have supper with Anni and Thomas, that was very fun

Anni made homemade wraps and the meal was amaaazing

Next day Lino and I repotted this plant.
Look at the length of the arms!
Spend 45 minutes untangling them.

And then we had another supper with our friends :)
This time it was tacos!

Now I am off to Paris
